Gestionnaire de catégorie junior – Épicerie, produits frais & surgelés

La Boite à Grains is recruiting a Junior Grocery, Fresh and Frozen Category Manager.

We are looking for an experienced person who will analyze the initial development opportunities for their category and propose them to the management team. Develop relationships with suppliers, distributors and brokers to negotiate their annual promotional implications. Act as a product specialist in his categories and has the mandate to support the business units in achieving the company's common goals.

Responsibilities :

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the policies, purchasing policies and consumers of La Boite à Grains in order to optimize the product offer and achieve financial objectives

• Analyze customer needs to define short and medium term requirements

• Inform the team of product and pricing needs and changes

• Coordinate with the various suppliers the various promotions, the offer and the price of the products and the cooperative projects

• Ensure that grocery, fresh and frozen activities are carried out in collaboration with team members

• Analyze and propose current and potential brands, new products and suppliers, according to the policy in place

• Create promotions in the promotions management tool

• Set up and present various reports:

sales, brands, categories, families, suppliers, etc.

• Ensure that prices are managed properly to ensure profitability while meeting customer needs

• Collaborate closely on all types of projects related to purchasing, promotions and pricing

• Creation of products and price changes; coding of the circular lot, control of the circular; weekly control of specials and coding of end dates

• Manage purchase orders

• Execute the procurement process and negotiate terms and rates.

Qualifications and skills required:

• DEC or Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or any other relevant field

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in negotiation and/or marketing in the retail and procurement sector

• Proficiency in the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or Google (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

• Proficiency in a POS system such as SMS (an asset)

• Fluency in written French and excellent communication skills in both French and English

• Possess negotiation and superior analytical skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Driver's license and available for travel

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent

Pay:

$40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
