The Company

Our client, a well-established Architecture and Design firm in Ottawa, is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to manage and coordinate projects and project teams from Ottawa. This firm emphasizes a collaborative and progressive work culture and is involved in a wide range of projects, particularly across defense, public and institutional work.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee project phases through design development, construction documents preparation, and construction period services. The successful candidate will work with project coordination, manage client relationships, team communication and liaise with municipal authorities, and you will be responsible for reviewing work and quality control. Ultimately, you will oversee the successful execution of projects, in collaboration with the senior partners and other architects in the firm.

What's Required

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience leading and managing projects
• Security clearance or eligibility to obtain it
• Experience working on Defense sector projects in North America
• Minimum 8+ years experience working with Canadian building codes and bylaws knowledge
• In additional to defense projects, public and institutional project experience is an asset
• PMP designation an asset
• Demonstrated expertise in building technology including wood frame, steel and concrete construction
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, as well as in French is preferred
