Cafe Attendant

We proudly operate food service venues in some of Canada's most iconic cultural institutions, including the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian War Museum, and the Canadian Museum of Nature. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Café Attendants.

About the Role

As a Café Attendant, you'll be the face of our café, welcoming guests, preparing drinks and food, and ensuring a clean, warm, and inviting environment at all times. No two days look the same, and your energy and care will make all the difference.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and process sales transactions accurately using a POS system
• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks and food items
• Clear, reset, and maintain a clean and welcoming dining area
• Restock service areas including cups, cutlery, napkins, condiments, beverages, and food items
• Receive and organize deliveries
• Manage garbage and recycling bins throughout the day, including outdoor areas during summer months
• Provide friendly, professional service, addressing guest inquiries and special requests
• Support the team during busy periods to maintain smooth, efficient operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks
• Confident handling cash and operating POS systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
• Valid Food Handler Certificate, or willingness to obtain
• Smart Serve Certification, or willingness to obtain
• Bilingual in French and English (required)
• Available to work weekends and holidays, with open availability year-round (required)

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting at $18.00 per hour
• Full-time employees are eligible for health and dental benefits after 3 months of employment
