Bilingual Assistant Controller - Permanent

About the Opportunity

Our growing client in the Gatineau area is looking for a fluently bilingual Assistant Controller to join their dynamic, growing organization on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the preparation of weekly cash movement and online payments
• Review of AP & AR entries to ensure accuracy and timely posting
• Assist in preparing intercompany transactions and account reconciliations
• Manage the review of weekly payroll remittances and reconciliations
• General Ledger management, adjustments as needed
• Participate in the production of Financial Statements, P&L, cash flow management
• Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed
• Contribute to the Month and Year-End closing process
• Assist with both internal & external Audit processes

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Fluently bilingual in both official languages (English, French)
• 5+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
• Pursuit of CPA Designation an asset
• Previous experience within the Construction industry and asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, strong ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills with the team & management imperative
