Groundskeeper

Groundskeeper ($13-$18/Hr)

Inverness Country Club is a 9-Hole Private golf club, established in 1925 in Chelsea, MI. We are currently looking for early-risers interested in working with a team to create a great golfing experience for our members and guests. As a Groundskeeper, you will be essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our landscapes and outdoor spaces so they remain inviting and well-kept, contributing to the overall aesthetic and enjoyment of our facilities.

Experience in Golf course maintenance, Lawn Care and/or Landscaping is preferred, but not required, will train the right individual(s). Please consider that this is a physically demanding position and you must be able to perform all basic grounds maintenance duties that include bending, lifting, shoveling, etc.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities will include lawn care, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance including, but not limited to:

• Backpack blowing Greens, Tees and other areas as needed
• Changing Pin Locations
• Tee Mowing
• Fairway Mowing
• String Trimming
• Irrigation repair assistance
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment used, main shop building, maintenance barn, clubhouse and pro shop exteriors
• Report any damage, malfunction, irregularities and/or potential hazards in and around buildings, grounds, equipment or supplies to supervisor

Must be available to work weekend days, flexible. The daily work schedule typically starts between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m., Later during the early and later parts of the season.

25-35 hours available, depending on your availability and course needs.

Part-time available

Hours Available 7 days per week.

Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (More hours available according to course needs)

Saturday-Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (More hours available according to course needs)

• Free golf available after work or on off days.

The ideal applicant(s) should be able to demonstrate the ability to function as part of a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic; RELIABILITY and PUNCTUALITY is essential. Applicant MUST have reliable transportation.
