We are looking for our future COBOL Developer to join our teams.
🎯 Your Missions
  • Create and modify software in COBOL application.
  • Create and modify screens and reports in COBOL application.
  • Gather and analyze data for the conduct of studies to establish the technical and economic feasibility of proposed computer systems, and for the development of functional and system design specifications.
  • Design methods and procedures for small computer systems, and sub-systems of larger systems.
  • Develop, test, and implement small computer systems, and sub-systems of larger systems.
  • Produce forms, manuals, programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications.
  • Analyze, define, and document client requirements and recommend solutions.
📝 Your Profile
  • Minimum of ten years of experience, within the last twelve years, working as a Programmer/Analyst performing a minimum of five of the seven tasks listed below for a minimum of six months of experience per task:
    • Research, analyze, and document user requirements, map interdependencies, and produce the required functional specifications and/or process re-engineering recommendations.
    • Draft technical requirements and prepare detailed technical solution designs for maintenance or operational enhancement of mainframe systems.
    • Write or change, maintain, and unit test programs in IDMS DB Mainframe using IBM COBOL, PL/I, BTS, JCL, and CLIST, following existing standards.
    • Promote programs from development to system test. System test online and batch programs. All work must follow existing standards.
    • Help resolve various implementation issues
    • Provide support in the development and production environments.
    • Prepare deployment packages of code and instructions for builds in Development, UAT, and participate in knowledge transfer
  • A minimum of five years of experience, within the last seven years, developing and maintaining complex, mission-critical mainframe applications, operating online and in batch using an IMS platform and COBOL language:
    • IDMSDB
    • IBM COBOL
    • PL/I
    • ISPF
    • TSO
    • JCL/Clist
  • A minimum of one year of experience in each of the identified requirements below:
    • Experience in implementing system-to-system integration (through APIs, web services) involving mainframe applications.
    • Experience leading data integration and migration initiatives, including leading discovery sessions with stakeholders and members of the technical team to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data migration.
    • Experience translating business requirements, functional specifications, system documentation, and use cases, including developing detailed programming specifications, user interface designs, prototypes, configuration and customization, compiling data-driven programs, conducting unit tests, and debugging code.
